 How to wire bind the longside an A3 document.
 

WIRE BINDERS HELP

 An information page to help choose a wire binder. Follow the links to find the right binder to suit your needs.
Once you have decided on the right machine for your needs there are links at the bottom of the page to the types of wire binder, or you can use the menu links on the left near the top under "binding machines".

3:1 WIRE BINDERS

 The 3:1 means that the punch makes 3 hole per inch.
3:1 Wire Binders will bind documents with up to 120 (80gsm) sheets.
For bigger documents you will need a 2:1 Wire Binder.
 

2:1 WIRE BINDERS

 The 2:1 means that the punch makes 2 holes per inch.
2:1 Wire Binders will bind documents with up to 300 (80gsm) sheets
 

COMBINED BINDING MACHINES

 2:1 and 3:1 in one machine.
Saves space and allows you to choose the format depending upon the size of the document.
 

ELECTRIC WIRE BINDERS

 Available in 3:1 and 2:1 formats
These have an Electric Punch which is usually foot operated.
This makes the punching easier and quicker.
 

SEPARATE PUNCHES AND CLOSERS

 These machines use "dies" for the different type of binding and usually have the extra option of coil and comb binding dies.
The closer is usually a separate machine allowing the binding to be done by 2 people for extra speed.
Ideal for copy shops, reprographics departments and ther higher volume users.
