 |
We supply a wide variety of binding machines in all styles for home, office, educational and commercial use. Our range extends from budget manual machines to high end high capacity electric machines. Our binding machines include wire, comb, thermal and coil binders to provide a range of finishes. Here is a brief description of the different types of binding you can use.
Wire binders are one of the most popular binding solutions offering a quick, easy and cheap way of producing reports, brochures, catalogues and price lists. One of our most popular products is the Binding house AP34 wire binder. It is a sturdy all metal binder and is our best low cost selectable pin wire binder. It is ideal for use in the home, school office or reprographics department, print shop or office. With a punching capacity of up to 15 sheets of 80 gsm paper, this binding machine is ideal for short runs/occasional use and is ideal for calendar making. We also stock the complete range of Renz binding machines suitable for all applications from occasional use to continuous print shop usage.
Thermal binding is the quickest and simplest solution for binding. A disadvantage however is that documents cannot be opened fully or laid flat when open. There is also a more limited range of cover sizes compared to other methods of binding. One innovation in this field is the Duo 500 which allows you to easily produce a hard backed cover to a document or book.
Comb binding is another popular form of binding documents which uses plastic combs to hold the paper together. An advantage of this type of binding is that the document can be opened to change the contents if necessary. Again there are manual and electric punch options depending on your budget and volume of use. The plastic combs are available in a selection of sizes to accommodate documents up to 475 pages (80 gsm) and in a choice of five colours.
Coil binding uses a flexible spring like plastic coil to hold the document together. The coils are available in a range of over 40 bright, fun colours including neon colours. For coil binding the quickest results come from a machine with an electric spiral inserter. One such machine with an electric inserter is the Renz SPB360. However we also have a selection of manual solutions.
Wire, comb and coil binding have the benefit of allowing you to change the look and design of a document by using different styles of covers. We have a selection of covers including card, leather grain effect, clear gloss plastic and frosted polypropylene. The frosted covers give a modern and stylish finish to a document. On our site you will also find a wide selection of other binding accessories such as binding wires, combs, coils and thermal covers. We also supply a range of other binding solutions such as binding screws, fasteners and slide binders.
